Rosenthal Advancement of College of Arts and Sciences Women Faculty and Non-STEM Undergraduate Research Fund

The Rosenthal Advancement of College of Arts and Sciences Women Research Awards provide financial assistance to women faculty in their pursuit of full professorship, and to women graduate or undergraduate students in the College of Arts & Sciences pursuing research in non-STEM fields.

Three awards are given each year:

  • One $3,000 award for a female faculty/lecturer/senior lecturer 
  • One  $1,500 award for a female graduate student
  • One $1,000 award for a female undergraduate student

Eligibility

Eligible Titles:

Non-STEM women associate professors, graduate and undergraduate students

Criteria: 

This fund provides financial support to College of Arts & Sciences non-STEM women: (1) associate professor faculty in their pursuit of full professorship, and (2) graduate or undergraduate students who are pursuing research. 

Available Awards:  

  • Faculty/lecturer/senior lecturer - two $3,000 awards for research
  • Graduate students - two $1,500 awards for research
  • Undergraduate students - two $1,000 awards for research

Nomination Process

The 2022 nomination submission deadline is Friday, February 25th, 2022.

Required documentation includes:

  1. Chair’s nomination letter
  2. Candidate’s CV
  3. Research proposal (2 pages) describing how the funds will be utilized
