The three-day World Government Summit 2019 ran from Feb 10-12 at Madinat Jumeirah and brought together more than 4,000 participants from 140 countries. Attendees of the summit include heads of state and governments, as well as top-tier representatives from more than 30 international organizations.
Strogatz's wide array of research interests include mathematical biology, applications of nonlinear dynamics and chaos and the dynamics of structural balance in social systems. He is the author of Nonlinear Dynamics and Chaos (1994), Sync (2003), The Calculus of Friendship (2009) and The Joy of x (2012), has been a frequent guest on Radiolab and Science Friday and has spoken at TED talks. He is the recipient of numerous teaching awards, including Cornell's highest teaching prize, the Stephen H. Weiss Presidential Fellowship (2016).
