Elijah RuizSociologyChicago, ILWhat was your favorite class and why?My favorite class was Latinos in the U.S. taught by Prof. Vélez. It was inspiring and comforting to hear stories of many Latinx cultures and see so many Latinx students in the classroom. I learned a lot about my Puerto Rican heritage, and am honored to know that I am a continuation of the legacy of Puerto Ricans coming to Cornell for their undergrad education.
Eve GlasergreenEnglish & FrenchClinton, NJWhat are the most valuable skills you gained from your Arts & Sciences education?I have learned to truly think critically, to approach everything I do with curiosity and care, and not to set limits on myself. I have also learned how much I can learn from my peers who have different life experiences than I do!
Hendryck GellineauChemistryLives in Huntsville, ALWhat was your favorite class and why?I loved taking all of the organic chemistry courses here at Cornell. The subject just appeals the most to my visual style of learning. Organic Chemistry is essentially abstract art with a side of involved logic. I also loved hearing about all of its applications, especially in medicine.
