Staff and faculty from departments and programs in the College of Arts & Sciences will offer a festive majors and experiential learning fair from 3:30-5:30 p.m. April 12 in the Groos Family Atrium in Klarman Hall.
“The fair will give first and second year students the chance to talk to representatives from almost every major and program at one time,” said Ana Adinolfi, senior career associate in the college’s Career Development Cener. “It’s also happening during Cornell Days, so prospective students can learn more about all of the opportunities available through A&S.”
Students can talk with directors of undergraduate study about the requirements for each of the college’s 39 majors and 57 minors, what courses are offered in each department and other special programs like an independent major, the Rawlings Scholar program or the College Scholar program.
Along with departments and programs, the fair will include organizations that offer experiential learning opportunities, such as the Cornell Botanic Gardens, Cornell in Washington and Engaged Cornell.
Although the college offers a similar “fair” during first-year orientation, this is the first time they’ve offered it during the semester, Adinolfi said.
Refreshments will be available.
