Cornell Cinema kicks off fall season

Cornell Cinema's fall season includes a diverse array of special events and showings for movie fans of all genres.

Cornell Cinema offers a classic movie going experience in the vintage Willard Straight Theatre and is considered one of the best campus film exhibition programs in the country, showing a wide variety of films every month, including recent hits, cult favorites, classics, world cinema and more. The cinema also hosts visiting filmmakers and live music/film events.

Regular student ticket prices are $5.50/$6, and even cheaper with purchase of a Six Pass for $27 (good for six admissions to regularly priced events and valid for a full year). Senior and General Six Pass prices are $35 & $40 respectively.

Upcoming specials include a Sept. 29 celebration of "Alice in Wonderland" in Sage Chapel, a "Sound of Music" sing-a-long Nov. 14 and a semester-long celebration of Orson Welles to celebrate the centenary of his birth.

Check out the website for the full listing of shows this semester and download the entire screening calendar (or just specific films) to your smartphone or tablet.
