Susan Daniel

Fred H. Rhodes Professor

Overview

The Daniel group research leverages their understanding of interfacial chemistry and membrane biology to build cell-free biomembrane platforms that re-create cellular processes on chip. We use our platforms to study the delivery of virus genomes across host membranes, how cancer microvesicles invade stem cells, what makes bacteria pathogenic, and towards building an artificial cell on a chip to produce therapeutics and biological molecules with beneficial applications and uses.
