Overview

Ms. Lee received a PhD at Indiana University in 2014, majoring in Second Language Studies and minoring in Language Education. Her scholarly interests encompass inter-language pragmatics (how to say what to whom in a second language (L2)), second language acquisition, discourse analysis, gesture and foreign language teaching. Her current research focuses on developmental patterns of pragmatic knowledge in L2 Korean as well as in L2 English. As an associate instructor at Indiana University, she taught first-year Korean drill classes and second-year Korean lecture and drill classes to undergraduates. Through conferences and workshops that she attended (e.g., American association of teachers of Korean), she was able to broaden her knowledge of second language research and apply useful teaching skills and materials to her teaching
