Overview

Franci Blassberg recently retired as a partner at Debevoise & Plimpton where she spent over three decades advising clients in setting legal strategy, negotiating complex transactions and counseling on a broad range of business issues. As a member of Debevoise & Plimpton LLP’s Management Committee and the founder and co-chair of the Private Equity practice, Ms. Blassberg also helped to build one of the leading law firm private equity practices in the world. Ms. Blassberg is currently a Visiting Professor of Practice at Cornell Law School, where she teaches courses on corporate governance and a course entitled Private Equity Playbook.  Ms. Blassberg is a Presidential Councillor at Cornell University and is a Trustee Emerita and former chair of the Arts and Sciences Advisory Council, a Vice Chair of the Board of the New School, and a member of the Boards of the New York City Ballet and the New York Historical Society.
