Overview
Eriko Akamatsu taught at the University of Maryland and West Virginia International School, and in Cornell University's FALCON (Full-year Asian Language CONcentration) program. She also served as outreach coordinator for Cornell's East Asia Program. During her ten years with the ALLEX Foundation, she promoted Japanese, Chinese, and Korean language instruction at universities throughout the United States.
She holds an MA in Secondary Education from Marshall University, an MA in Second Language Acquisition from the University of Maryland, and a BA in English Education from Hiroshima University.
Ms. Akamatsu was awarded the Sophie Washburn French Instructorship by the College of Arts & Sciences at Cornell.
