Dave holds a BA in Economics from Cornell University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.

In honor of his mother, a dedicated and loyal Cornellian, Dave established the Muriel Sutton Russekoff ‘54 Scholarship in 2011 to help deserving underprivileged students attend Cornell.  The scholarship targets students from the Bedford-Stuyvesant school system in Brooklyn, where Mitzi taught elementary school for 37 years.  In her memory, Dave also established the Mitzi Sutton Russekoff ‘54 Lecture in 2015 that takes place annually at the Cornell Club-New York.
