Overview
Byoung-Hyoun Hwang is an assistant professor of finance at the Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management in the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business. Prior to joining Cornell in 2014, Hwang held positions at Purdue University, Bain & Company (London, UK), and the Boston Consulting Group (Berlin, Germany).
Research Focus
Professor Hwang's research primarily examines the degree to which behavioral finance helps explain (or fails to explain) financial markets. His research has been published in the Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Financial Studies, Management Science, and Strategic Management Journal. It has also been discussed in popular outlets such as the Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg.
