Andrew is a Partner at Apax and is jointly responsible for the firm’s investment activities in the healthcare sector. Apax has completed more than eighty investments in the healthcare sector, including providers, technology, pharmaceuticals, and medical devices. Apax Partners is a leading global private equity advisory firm headquartered in London and New York. The Apax Funds invest in companies across four global sectors of Tech and Telco, Services, Healthcare, and Consumer. These funds provide long-term equity financing to build and strengthen world-class companies.
Andrew recently joined Apax after spending eleven years at Vestar Capital Partners where he was co-head of the healthcare sector. Andrew came to Vestar in 2006 from The Blackstone Group. Prior to Blackstone, Andrew was a senior associate at JPMorgan Partners (the private equity affiliate of JPMorgan Chase.) Andrew started his career as an analyst in the leveraged finance group at Merrill Lynch.
Andrew earned his BA, cum laude, in Economics and Government from Cornell University with distinction in all subjects and earned his MBA from Columbia Business School. He was raised in Darien, CT, where he currently lives with his wife and three daughters. Andrew is a member of the Darien Land Trust and the Connecticut Advisory Board of the Trust for Public Land.
