Overview
Brian joined the College of Arts and Sciences as an Advising Dean in October 2023. Hailing from Syracuse, NY, and a proud “Upstater,” he earned a BA in Classics from Siena College and an M.Ed. in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from the University at Buffalo, SUNY. Before working at Cornell, he taught English as a New Language (ENL) to K-12 students in Buffalo and Ithaca. When not working with students, he enjoys rooting for the Buffalo Bills and Syracuse’s football and basketball teams with family, friends, and his cat, Archie. He also loves to read, play Ticket to Ride, and explore Ithaca’s scenic trails and hills on his bikes and skis.
