Project title: Social Impact through Storytelling and Empathy.
Project description: I am researching the connection between storytelling and empathy to address issues of social inequity.
Most important accomplishment: I am most proud of making progress towards bringing Change for Change — a nonprofit I founded — to life. Set to begin in Fall 2020, it will allow Cornell students to round up their dining hall purchases to the nearest dollar to contribute to local charities in Ithaca.
Reflections on the College Scholar Program: Being a member of the College Scholar program has underscored how much intriguing overlap exists between academic disciplines. I’ve especially enjoyed hearing feedback and questions about my research from such a passionate, inspiring group of peers.
