Peggy Parmenter

Advising Dean

Overview

A proud Midwesterner, Peggy grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana.  Having loved literature from a very young age, she completed a B.A. at the University of Notre Dame, double majoring in English and French.  She went on to earn a M.A. and Ph.D. in English Language and Literature at the University of Chicago.  She joined the A&S Student Services team in 2013, and considers it a privilege to help A&S students make their educational experience at Cornell the best it can possibly be.

In her free time, Peggy enjoys reading, listening to classical music, and taking long walks on the beautiful trails in and around Ithaca.  She also enjoys spending time with her husband and three young adult children, and their golden retriever, Charlie.  If you see her and Charlie out for a walk on the Arts quad, they hope you’ll stop and say hello!
