Overview
Ms. Suzuki received her MA in East Asian Languages & Literature specializing in Japanese pedagogy in 1997 from Ohio State University, an MA in Linguistics in 1995 from Texas Tech University, and her BA in English & American Studies in 1991 from Kyoto University of Foreign Studies in Japan.
Ms. Suzuki is a native speaker of Japanese, and has near-native fluency in English. She is a member of AATJ (American Association of Teachers of Japanese), ACTFL(American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages), and the Association for Japanese Language Education (Nihongo Kyouiku Gakkai). She has taught Japanese at Texas Tech University, Indiana University, Ohio State University, Washington University in St. Louis, the National University of Singapore, Kyoto Consortium for Japanese Studies (KCJS), and with the Alliance for Language Learning & Education (ALLEX) Japanese Teacher Training Institute.
