Jennifer Maclaughlin

Director of Career Development

Overview

I joined the Arts & Sciences Career Development staff in 2016. I design and implement strategies to support the career development of A&S undergraduates at all stages in their education: as they engage in career planning, obtain experiential learning, consider and pursue graduate school options, and conduct job searches. I feel passionate about a liberal arts and sciences education, and empower students to utilize their degree in meeting their personal and professional goals. Prior to accepting this role, I was the Director of Internships & Career Services at the University at Albany’s Rockefeller College of Public Affairs & Policy for over 6 years. In addition, I worked as a Career Counselor at Pace University (New York City) and at the University of Connecticut. In my free time, I enjoy cross-country skiing, reading, hiking, and finding waterfalls – I’m currently on a journey to visit every major waterfall in New York State.
