Overview

Professor Ginet's interests include metaphysics, epistemology, philosophy of mind, and philosophy of language. Topics in his advanced courses before his retirement in 1999 included action (including free will and responsibility); metaphysics and epistemology of perception; and a priori knowledge. In the Spring semester 2007 he taught a graduate seminar at Cornell on Tim Williamson's book Knowledge and Its Limits. Before coming to the Sage School in 1971, he was on the faculties of The Ohio State University, the University of Michigan, and the University of Rochester
