Overview

Bonna Boettcher divides her scholarly energy among a variety of areas, including library administration, music librarianship, and fictional representations of music and musicians. She has written and presented on topics such as Stravinsky’s piano music, fictional women pianists, music and musicians in mystery fiction, copyright and music, and library planning.

She currently serves as chair of the Music Library Association's Publications Committee, and is a member of the International Association of Music Libraries' Constitution Committee. She is a past president of MLA and also has served as Executive Secretary and Convention Mnager.  In March 2013, she was awarded MLA’s citation, recognizing “distinguised service to music librarianship over a career.”
