Naya Sou received her BS from Rutgers University in geology and her MS in teaching from Pace University. She loves to travel and assists her husband on geologic expeditions to collect samples for his research from time to time. Her two favorite places thus far are the Aeolian Islands in Italy and the Big Island of Hawaii because of their history, landscape, culture, people, and food. She survived hiking trips through Haleakalā in Maui and Lunar Crater in Nevada while carrying rock samples! Through academic advising, she hopes to instill confidence in students and challenge them to experience things that will help them become well-rounded.
