Concurrent Degree
Two Degrees in Five Years
Through the Concurrent Degree Program, ambitious students with broad intellectual interests can integrate a traditional liberal arts education with a more professionally-oriented course of study in the College of Engineering or the College of Architecture, Art & Planning (AAP).
Students in the College of Arts & Sciences can earn a B. A. degree and one of the following degrees:
- B.S. in Engineering
- B.F.A. in Art
- B.S. in Urban and Regional Studies
Earning two degrees requires significant commitment and careful planning and preparation. Program completion usually requires 10 semesters. The university provides eligible students with financial aid for the entire period.
Requirements for the Concurrent Degree
As a candidate for two degrees you are required to:
- Earn a minimum of 150 credits (depending on your particular combination of majors, you may have to earn more than 150 credits)
- Satisfy all degree requirements for both colleges
- Take at least 100 credits from courses offered in the College of Arts & Sciences
- Be enrolled as a full-time student in the College of Arts & Sciences for 4 full semesters on the Ithaca campus
- Fulfill the requirements for both degree majors with 30 distinct, non-overlapping credits in each major
