Director of WGL Holdings/Washington Gas

 Dale Rosenthal

Ms. Rosenthal is a Director of WGL Holdings/Washington Gas since October 2014. WG is a gas distribution utility headquartered in Washington, DC that serves more than one million customers in the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia.  She played an active role in strategic discussions to expand their portfolio into pipelines and alternative energy development and was deeply involved in the evaluation of the company’s merger and acquisition options.  

Ms. Rosenthal became chair of the WG Audit Committee in July 2018, when the company was acquired by Alta Gas (Canada).  She also served on the post-merger Integration Committee.  She serves a Member of the Board of Trustees of Cornell University, serving on the Finance Committee and as vice chair of the Building and Properties Committee.  She also served as Chair of the Strathmore Foundation for the Performing Arts; President of Congregation Beth El; and as a Director of the Greater Washington Board of Trade. 

Ms. Rosenthal qualifies as a Financial Expert as defined by both NYSE and NASDAQ.  She has extensive Board experience in governance, finance, and leadership development. 

After serving as CFO for eight years of Clark Construction, a $5B general contractor, Ms. Rosenthal established Clark Financial Services Group to leverage Clark's core turnkey construction expertise into alternative energy development, finance, and management.  She set the strategy for Clark's entry into the alternative energy space, including appropriate market penetration and risk mitigation. As CFO, she led all the financial functions of Clark Construction, including enterprise risk management, accounting, internal audit and compliance, financial planning and reporting, treasury, tax, and strategic planning.  Prior to being tapped as CFO, Ms. Rosenthal had established a successful Clark startup, it's Global Technologies group, which developed and built data centers for early Internet service providers. She has extensive experience in public private partnerships in the infrastructure and education spaces. 
Prior to joining Clark, Ms. Rosenthal led financing teams for several tax-credit financed housing developers.  She was instrumental in identifying new sources of funding and innovative tax structures for these complex transactions.

Ms. Rosenthal holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.) and Master of Business Administration (M.B.A) from Harvard Law School and Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration and a B.A. in Economics from Cornell University.  She is a member of the Texas Bar.
