Elizabeth Drugge Hobbs graduated from Cornell University (Biology & Society), holds a PhD in Pharmacology (Cardiac Electrophysiology) from Columbia University, did a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Pharmacology at New York Medical College, and completed an MPH in Epidemiology from New York Medical College School of Health Sciences and Practice. Currently, an adjunct Professor at New York Medical College, she teaches epidemiology, biostatistics and cardiovascular epidemiology. She also does grant funding analysis for the Melanoma Research Foundation, Washington DC.
As research director of Melanoscan, LLC, she has a thorough understanding of the interface between the medical, technical and societal aspects of skin cancer management. Specific area of focus is detection of skin cancer disease etiology and progression through lesion characterization using time lapse dermoscopic and clinical images.
