Chemist Yimon Aye’s research has been recognized with two Rising Star awards, one from the International Chemical Biology Society (ICBS) which “recognizes up-and-coming chemical biology scientists” and one from the Women Chemists Committee (WCC) of the American Chemical Society for demonstrating “outstanding promise” in the field.

Aye, a Howard Milstein Sesquicentennial Fellow, is an assistant professor in the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology and holds a secondary appointment in the Department of Biochemistry at Weill Cornell Medicine.

The Aye lab focuses on chemistry-driven methods development in chemical biology, with the goal of understanding biochemistry and cellular biology of electrophile signaling pathways and molecular regulation of proteins important to human pathophysiology.
