The Hull Memorial Publication Fund
The Hull Memorial Publication Fund was established in 1954 by Mary Josephine Hull for the express purpose of subventing "the cost of printing and publishing books or articles written by members of the University, of such character as shall be likely to advance its scholarly reputation in the field of liberal studies: history and political science, philosophy, language and literature." In addition to entertaining applications for single-authored books, the Committee will also consider subventing scholarly volumes edited or translated by Cornell faculty or staff that promise to fulfill the donor's mandate.
The Hull Fund Committee administers the fund and makes decisions about funding. Application for subvention may be made to the Committee at any time during the fall or spring semester; timely consideration of an application submitted during the summer cannot be assured.
