The goal of Cornell University is to remove financial barriers and allow students the opportunity to invest in a Cornell education. Our commitment to need-blind admission and need-based financial aid ensures Cornell’s financial aid programs are distributed equitably.
Through grants, scholarships, loans and student work experiences, Cornell offers a variety of ways to meet this goal. Nearly 50 percent of each incoming class is awarded financial aid, with the average amount awarded at $36,604 for the Class of 2017.
