Director of Advising
Bonnie Comella joined the College of Arts & Sciences as Director of Advising in February 2017. She is responsible for providing overall vision, leadership, and guidance for the academic advising function and student development. She brings nearly 25 years of experience of serving in several admission and advising roles at Cornell to this leadership position in the college. Bonnie received a BS in biological sciences from SUNY Cortland and an MA in student affairs administration from Ball State University. She holds an EdD from the University of Pennsylvania in higher education management. Her research interests include higher education leadership, diversity and inclusion in STEM, and first generation college student success. Bonnie lives in Ithaca with her two teenage daughters and is an avid runner. She's proud to be a team advisor to Cornell Women's Track & Field and Cross Country. Go Big Red!
