Special Academic Opportunities
Students who really want to get the most out of Cornell enhance their course of studies by taking advantage of one or more special academic opportunities. By participating in undergraduate research or independent study, or enrolling in programs offering interdisciplinary work, each student has a chance to create a rich and unique path. The freedom and flexibility offered by the College of Arts & Sciences allows students to delve deeply into specific topics of interest. For example, recent College Scholars have completed senior projects on topics such as the social construction of race, classical Arabic poetry, and "wired" art and modern technological expression.
